Good Morning Friends ~ We hope that you enjoy these historical reminders!


These are, perhaps, the most famous words in American history ... lest we forget!

Jefferson's intro to the Declaration of Independence ... "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, -- That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, -- That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it; and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable.  But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." 

The Preamble to The Constitution ... "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish the Constitution of the United States of America."

President Reagan said of Liberty, "An informed patriotism is what we want ... Man is not free unless government is limited. As government expands, liberty contracts ... I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism ... The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is."

  1. At the risk of having a Predator drown take out my house or ending up in GITMO or FEMA concentration camp perhaps we should have the guts like our fore fathers to serve up and present Obama with a list of charges just like we did with the Declaration of Independence to King George III.
