CHRISTMAS DAY 2013

May the blessings of the Lord visit you and your family at every moment in life!  May you also be blessed with love of family, compassion to the needy, the courage to stand up for yourself, unmatchable success in life and the ability to make good things happen! Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

To those who are new to us ... the purpose of this blog is to share a friendly early bird Friday (6am)  morning coffee conversation perpetrated by a loosely knit group of fun-seeking old Vets, Patriots, and their friends.  There is no particular objective or agenda although our leanings generally favor The Lord, Patriotism, The Constitution, The Military, and basic Conservative Values.  Our goal is very simple ... enjoy each other's company while we share some great java, juice and jaw-boning jabber.  Yarn spinning, tall tales, sea stories and little white lies are most heartily welcomed and expected.  We highly encourage everyone to show up with a funny hat that has character or any other kind of ridiculous head gear ... occasionally we have been known to provide head gear in desperate situations for the unknowing.  Genuine camaraderie and belly-bouncing laughter are always the order of the day.  Our hope is that you will start your Friday and every day on a positive and happy note! We welcome you to join us!

A Salute to our friend Terry Matthews.  His Father, Leroy "Boney" Matthews was recently inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame.  Matthews was a highly successful and beloved coach and science teacher who, as a high school football player, once scored 97 points by himself in one game ... a state record!  Congrats Terry!

A life well lived; a great friend and veteran patriot!

  1. Every week a veteran, a patriot and a gracious man takes the time to capture and publish this blog; he posts photos and acknowledgements of a group of men who he holds dear to his heart. He includes photos of service, patriotism, animals and humor; he also includes quotes that hopefully touch our lives. Thank you Bob for always making this effort for us to enjoy. On this Christmas night and always I am truly blessed because I get to share my life with him. You fill my heart ... your wife.
